Top places to visit near Ganpatipule and Jambharun As a part of our 3 days trip to Jambharun ( Blog Post :Hidden Gem - Jambharun ) , we had one day planned to visit the nearby places. Among them was Ganpatipule , which is significantly known for the revered Ganpati temple on the beach. I will list out the places to visit near Ganpatipule and Jambhrun in this post. Jambhrun is kind of a center point to all these locations, so you can start from one end and circle back to your homestay in Jambharun . 1. Lakshmi Keshav Mandir,Kolisare Keshav Lakshmi idol This was the highlight of all the locations that we visited. Meher Retreat Pune - One day picnic destination

Meher Retreat Resort is spread across 27-acre and based on agri-tourism concept to unveil the rural lifestyle to urban generation. It's located in Yawat near Matoba lake on Pune-Solapur Highway, at a distance of around 50km from Pune.

It was Sunday morning and we were looking out for a nearby place to visit. That's when we remembered Meher Retreat resort near Yawat, which has been in our checklist for sometime. It was already 10 am so we decided to reach Meher Retreat by afternoon.
Although we were unsure of making it on time and if we would be able to do the activities at the resort, we started off at 11.30am from Wagholi and reached the destination at 1pm.

So even though it was Sunday and there was huge rush, there was ample parking space available.
You will start noticing the change in temperature as you enter the premises, with the coconut tress providing natural shade.

Entrance fees :
This being a one day picnic destination, entry charges can be directly paid on arrival at the entrance, no advance booking is needed.
We had gone on 5th March 2023 and we were a group of 9. No charges for kids below 5 years.
- Adult - 800/- ( price considering we had reached on lunch time)
- Child above 5yrs - 500/-
- Timings - 9.30 am - 6.30 pm
- Meher retreat package includes whole day meals (breakfast, lunch, Hi-tea, most of activities are included)
Another important reason for us to choose Meher retreat was - its a pet friendly resort - as we also had our Joy🐶 with us

As soon as you enter you notice 2 activities - one is the pedal boating and other Rain dance. We kept pedal boating for the last and went to cool down in rain dance.

As the resort is spread on huge area, you will find wide walking pathways and open spaces, keeping it minimalist. We walked a bit around and went straight for lunch.
Food Menu -
It has a pure veg restaurant and lunch is a buffet, expect wide variety of pure Maharashtrian cuisine with a hint of rural taste to it.
There are also free unlimited Solar based sugarcane juice and curd milk counters available, which you should surely taste.
After having lunch, we went on to do all the activities. I will list the available activities (on my day of visit) at Meher retreat.
Pottery was one activity which everyone enjoyed, including my 3 year old daughter trying out 1st time.
